Turned out after discussion with the client and having them send some photos of their item next to a mm ruler, that it was far quicker and exacting to go straight to CAD.

Within a hour we had a 3D CAD prototype. In the next hour we had 3D Printed a proof in PLA which turned out to be perfect first-time 🙂
